  • Brush your teeth at least twice everyday, properly, using the method recommended by your dentist.
  • Use a floss at least once every day.
  • Rinse your mouth after every meal
  • Drink at least 2-3 liters of water everyday
  • Avoid sugary, oily food items
  • Do not smoke
  • Restrict the consumption of aerated drinks and alcohol
  • Clean your tongue twice daily, using either toothbrush or tongue scraper
  • Change your brush once in 3 months, or earlier if the bristles have flared away
  • Refrain from the use of tobacco
  • Do not use tooth picks, pins or any similar thing to clean your teeth or gums
  • Visit your dentist at least once in 6 months
  • Use toothpaste containing fluoride
  • Brush for at least 2- 3 minutes
  • Use mouthwash, only if recommended by your dentist
  • Eat a balanced diet
